Benjamin Jewusiak, DVM

Dr. Ben Jewusiak always knew he wanted to become a veterinarian. Growing up surrounded by family dogs, cats, and even a few small frogs, caring for animals has been a lifelong passion.

Dr. Jewusiak earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Animal and Poultry Sciences from Virginia Tech before completing his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. He has a special interest in neurology and clinical pathology and is committed to continually expanding his knowledge through continuing education and professional development.

Known for his compassionate approach and clear communication, Dr. Jewusiak believes that the best patient outcomes come from strong partnerships with pet owners. He enjoys educating clients, answering questions, and working together to develop individualized care plans for every pet.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Jewusiak enjoys hiking, playing pickleball, and spending time with friends and family playing card and board games.

Dr. Jewusiak is proud to be part of the Salty Paws Veterinary Hospital team and looks forward to helping your pets live long, healthy, and happy lives.
