Puppy Socialization

Puppy socialization, or as we like to call it “puppy play dates”, allows puppies to develop social skills during a crucial period in their upbringing which will help prepare them for any future interactions. In order to attend puppies must have a visit with our doctors, at least one canine distemper vaccine given by a DVM and a negative fecal test.  Play dates are available for puppies from 6 to 22 weeks of age. For puppies up to 16 weeks of age they can attend on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Once graduated they can attend our advanced puppy play dates on Wednesdays until 22 weeks of age. Small supervised classes allows for personalized attention for each puppy, to ensure they each get the most of their socialization and develop good behaviors for the future. Strengths and weaknesses are documented during each class and guidance is given where needed. The puppies are handled by our fear free certified staff for desensitization training to help prepare them for future interactions with humans.

Each puppy will receive a report once a week to update owners on how their puppy is progressing and what skills we encourage them to work on at home. Upon graduating from our puppy play date program, a certificate and goody bag will be provided to you and your puppy to reward them for their hard work and the progress they have made. We encourage you to continue working with your pet even after graduating to maintain healthy habits.
